Shiki Tells a Story

Ugggh.

I was GOING to write a review about this totally delicious-looking ramen that I ordered the other day, but that’s being pushed aside for now because I just have to tell everyone about this.

So, like I mentioned, I was trying out this new ramen at one of my fav shops (new for me because I don’t normally get shoyu flavored, but that’s so not the point). Well, it turns out that it’s apparently also one of Katsuragi’s fav places, too.

I’m sure you can totally see where this is going. 

I had just ordered and was minding my own business texting some friends when all of a sudden Katsuragi plops down in the seat across from me! She’s got a huge smile on her face, which you KNOW means trouble, but I thought to myself, “Nothing too bad will happen, right?”

Wrong.

“I came here to reward myself with some ramen for studying this weekend,” Kat said, her smile getting even bigger as a glint shone in her eye. “But I think I’ve found a better reward than ramen!”

I’m sure you can guess that a fight like totally broke out. And of course I won, as if there was ever a doubt about that. But I didn’t even get to try the ramen I ordered!

Next time I’ll make sure I go in disguise. Kat’s groping hands won’t catch me! 

Shiki Spies: Sexy Shopping

Another big scoop!

You’ll never guess what I saw today! Something totally unexpected but so completely juicy I had to rush back to my room so that I could tell you all pronto!

There’s this store that I always walk by when I’m shopping, but I’ve never been there because I’m usually in a total hurry to get to a sale. The shop is super unique though because they sell all sorts of lingerie. From the quick glances I get when I fly by they have some really cute things, too. I’ll have to make time to go in and shop one day.  

But as I was passing by today to meet Erika for some coffee, I happened to see someone that we all know checking out the selection! Like, “Who was it, Shiki?” you may be asking. Well, it was none other than Miss Ikaruga of Hanzō Academy!

I couldn’t believe it! After I saw her I did what anyone else would have done; I sent Erika a text telling her that I was going to be late and slipped into the shop. I just had to know what she was going to buy!

 Well, she didn’t end up buying anything which is a bummer, but she DID try a couple of things on! If I’m like, being really honest here, I have to admit that I’m kinda proud of her. Breaking out from that prim and proper shell, huh, Iki? You go, girl!

And I bet next time she’ll totally get something!

Shiki Spies: Date Night

I just saw the absolute CUTEST thing! It was totally adorable and it also gives me a huge scoop! There’s like, nothing better than that!

So, I was walking around the shopping district, trying to decide if I wanted to check out another store (it had this killer outfit in the window that I know would look totally great on me) or if I should take a break and reward myself with some tomato juice when I saw them.

Rin and Kiriya! Out on a DATE!

I couldn’t believe it! I’ve heard how she’s been totally gone over that guy for like, FOREVER, but who knew that something would actually come of it?! Do you think he made the first move? Or did Suzune gather her courage and get him all on her own?

Oh, but she was almost too cute for words! She was acting all shy and flirty, touching her hair and looking coyly away from him. And she was blushing! Oh my god, I almost swooned right there, fer shuh!

And the best part was that he was totally enamored with her! Trust me, I’m an expert at these things! He was trying to act all cool (like boys do, but come on!), but he could hardly take his eyes off her of! And Rin… Suzune…? Rin…? You know, it makes me wonder what he’d actually call her. ‘Cause I don’t know what to call her… Maybe Rizune? That could like, totally catch on, right?

Definitely going to have to find out how the rest of that date went! Maybe they’ll get married! I heard there’s this new place opening up that does events…

Poster-ior Action

Okay, so I swear I'm ALMOST over Deathpond, but I was stuck on a long train trip the other day, and I ended up drawing this:

Belly-Dancing Monster

I’m confused.

And I mean like, really confused. Totally confused. More confused than when I was learning French! But maybe that’s not a very good example because I picked up French like, totally quick…

Anyway.

I just saw something really weird. You know those new shinobi girls? Renka, Hanabi, and Kafuru? Well, they were having this conversation today and it looked like it was getting pretty serious. Then all of a sudden, the middle one, Hanabi, started making this funny noise! Like, a hissing?

It made her sisters totally freak out! I had no idea what was happening or why they were scrambling around like crazy, trying to get her to calm down. Which didn’t seem to be working AT ALL. So then…

So. Then.

Renka starts doing this silly dance! Now, I know that doesn’t seem all that weird since people dance all the time (wait until I tell you about this thing with a Samba party), but that isn’t the part that’s so bizarro. What’s really weird is that she had this face drawn on her stomach!

Hanabi totally cracked up, which stopped that funky hissing noise. But I’m still confused. Why did Renka have a face on her stomach? Does she walk around with it all the time? Is it a Secret Ninja Art? What’s going on there?

The mystery around these girls continues…

Shiki Style

Remember that blog I wrote about the Two-Headed Ninja I saw after seeing Deathpond (which I totally saw for the fifth time the other day and it is still SO worth the zeni!)? Remember how I mentioned that grunts will jump out of the bushes to randomly attack me? And how some of those grunts wear, like, feathers?

Well, that got me thinking…

WHO EVEN WEARS FEATHERS NOW?!

That’s such an outdated style. And they’re so annoying! Every time you shift to do ANYTHING they fall out all over the place. And then you have to spend time cleaning them up when you could totally be doing something fun instead. It really is a horrible fashion choice!

…Okay, so maybe I’m a little bit biased. But I mean, I tried to wear this totally cute jacket that had feathers on it when Erika and I were going to go out shopping one day. But then the feathers started falling out all over the place and Yozie made me clean them all up which made me soooo late and I ended up missing a flash sale at my favorite store! So yeah, I guess I’m against feathers because of that bad experience. Maybe I shouldn’t let it get me down about other people wearing feathers, though.

But those colors that the grunts chose for those feathers? UGH! That’s one thing I’m totally not going to let them get away with. 

Shiki Shops: PHOSERA Review

Sooo…

Remember that new shop that I was telling you about? The one I was like, really excited for?

 

Well, I tried two of the things that I bought from there and let me just say…

THEY. ARE. GREAT!

My favorite was definitely the nail polish. Yozie liked it, too! I convinced her to let me paint her nails and we were both totally surprised that it didn’t chip the next time she did some training. Extra points to the Sleek Shinobi brand for being fighting tough!

The lip gloss was awesome, too! Like I told everyone, I bought a new color to try something new and it totally worked out. It’s definitely a great color to wear when out on the town with friends! Eye-catching and vibrant, like me!

Hmm… I wonder what I’ll buy next time I’m there. Probably some lotion and eyeshadow. Maybe some hair-dye! How do you guys think I’d look with some black and pink streaks?! It would totally go with my Shinobi outfit…
